Whoever bought the new Nike Air Max 90 ‘NEW SPECIES’ from BSTN in Munich from the raffle on the web could hope for a unique chance: Namely one of the 25 BSTN 12″ limited edition figures in the NEW SPECIES design plus an elaborately designed collector’s showcase in comic style. With over 20 years of experience for Nike, BSTN trustfully commissioned BRAINARTIST with this job.

From the briefing to the delivery of the finished edition, it was only 4 weeks — despite the tight timing BRAINARTIST had gone through the voting with handmade scribbles of the figure and the packaging, sample models and various 3-D designs at a sprint pace and presented a solution that inspired the customer without limit. The BRAINARTIST snake charmers also worked hard for the finish and production.

And because this pack with the new Nike sneakers is only available 25 times worldwide, this limited BSTN special edition powered by BRAINARTIST has already become a super rare collector’s item in the scene.

Two of the most important customers of BRAINARTIST, Nike and Weber Grill, have their office in Berlin. It is logical that BRAINARTIST has a co-working space directly opposite the Bikini Building there since summer 2019.

With our network of market research offices, designers and producers in what is probably the fastest city in Europe, we also sometimes like to help start-ups out of the start-up phase.

Although we like to work where others spend their holidays in the Rheingau, we also like to be where trends arise. This is how we at BRAINARTIST stay in motion — and closer to our customers.

To bring HAILO’s vision to life was an exciting challenge: the packaging was still in the coordination stage (but was to be presented), the new PoS system had not yet been sampled (but retailers were to be able to order it) and the stand space was reduced by half compared to the previous year.

The content for Ambiente 2019 included not only the presentation of new innovative products and a completely new packaging design, but also the brand’s entire new appearance.

BRAINARTIST started at HAILO with a slightly different booth: visitor areas became co-working spaces, the live product presentation became a virtual reality zone and 12 shelf metres of PoS module became an animated 3-D exhibition on flat screens. For BRAINARTIST this order was another exciting task for one of the most well-known German brands.

The redesign of such a well-known brand as HAILO was unthinkable without a new concept for the PoS. The requirements for the new shop fitting modular system were sporty: shorter assembly time, lower costs, less storage space and — last but not least — a five times higher roll-out potential.

For the customer this sounded more unlikely than for us. After only 8 weeks of construction and test phase, BRAINARTIST had the solution: a rack system with much shorter assembly time, lower costs, less storage space and — last but not least — a five times higher roll-out potential.

BRAINARTIST made it possible with virtual reality technology to present the system to retailers in advance at ‘Ambiente 2019’, triggering orders that exceeded customer expectations. It remains to be said that this innovative PoS module has been patented for BRAINARTIST since July.

Nike needed for the model ‘Phantom Venom Elite FG’ a seeding box for the flagship store of 11teamsports in Berlin. The ‘Sneaker Freakers’ should be made hot.

With years of experience in designing Nike seeding boxes, we had full confidence in this timing. The schedule: on Monday BRAINARTIST got the briefing for the job. The goal was the delivery of 25 exclusive, limited seeding boxes, which should be at the PoS only 10 days later at the start of the campaign. 3 hours later the customer had the first drafts, in the afternoon the voting was finished.

The seeding box was in several special colours 2 days before the appointment with relief lacquer effects, an elaborate folding technique and an invisible magnetic closure in the store. Sneaker Freaker and Nike should not be kept waiting either.
